The Scientific committee is calling for submissions on issues such as cannabis and mental health, cannabis use and intervention approaches particularly among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, school based approaches to preventing and reducing cannabis use, the role of genetics in cannabis use and dependence, the relationship between cannabis and tobacco, synthetic cannabinoids, and cannabis and comorbid mental health conditions. The conference will include a variety of perspectives including health, education, youth services and the criminal justice sector. Abstracts can include empirical research (group and single case studies), topic reviews, clinical issues and initiatives.
All papers will be independently reviewed by the scientific committee prior to acceptance. Conference presentations will be in either the form of a platform presentation, a "datablitz" (5 minutes, 3 powerpoint slides and a poster) or a poster. Prospective presenters are invited to indicate their preferred presentation format, although the final decision will be made by the scientific committee.
