The National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre (NCPIC) conducts a number of community activities to increase awareness of the harms associated with cannabis use. In 2008 these activities include a national poster and short film competition targeting young people.

This competition targets secondary school students between the ages of 12 and 18 years.

2008 NCPIC Short Film Competition
This competition gives young people aged between the ages of 16 and 25 years the opportunity to showcase their creative talent and express their thoughts and ideas about cannabis and the importance of seeking treatment should users experience problems with their use.
