Online Data Tools

These online data sources and tools capture information about cannabis which may be useful for criminal justice practitioners, policy-makers, researchers and others in the criminal justice sector. Data on cannabis sentencing outcomes, interrogation of monthly crime trends, and data analysis may be conducted at the following websites:

• New South Wales Public Defenders Office
• Sentencing trends for cultivating a commercial quantity of narcotic plants in the Higher Courts of Victoria
• The Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR) on-line data tool permits an interrogation of crime trends in NSW. Simply select the location, offence type (possession and/or use of cannabis) and time period
• The Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) Drugs and Offending Online interactive data tool allows interrogation of cannabis-related data from the Drug Use monitoring in Australia (DUMA) collection

Clear Your Vision booklet and Facilitator's Manual

The Clear Your Vision booklet is designed to be used with young people in consultation with healthcare/AOD workers. The accompanying Facilitator's Manual aims to assist workers in a variety of settings including alcohol and other drug rehabilitation, education, counselling and youth groups to assist clients to quit or reduce their cannabis use.
