The following will help you plan your visit to Melbourne so you can get the most out of this year's National Cannabis Conference.
This year's conference will be held at the Rydges Melbourne, located at 186 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. The hotel will offer accommodation, however there are others nearby, including:
Parliament Railway Station is one block away, and the tram runs down Bourke Street on the corner of the block.
The Rydges Hotel is surrounded by great restaurants, cafes and bars. For salad and soups or something quick, Famish'd and Mad Mex are only a short stroll away, Izakaya Den offers some great Japanese close by, Grossi Florentino boasts more upmarket Italian, or there's Rosa's Kitchen for something cheaper, and Longrain has some of the best modern Thai in town. The top of Little Bourke Street is also only a short walk away, offering Spanish, Italian and various Asian fusion restaurants and cafes, or the infamous Lygon Street can be reached in a nine minute cab ride.
There is some limited city parking available nearby, and of course most hotels will offer parking options for their guests. The Parliament metro rail station is a block away from the conference venue, and the tram runs close by.
The venue is only two blocks from Bourke Street mall and major shopping precincts, and there is a range of boutique shopping available int he narrow streets running around the Hotel.
Bridge Road for bargains and Queen Victoria Markets can be easily accessed by public transport.
