There are a number of agencies, both government and non-government, that provide information and resources on-line. Some of these organisations also provide free resources and materials to members of the community.

Australian National Council on Drugs (ANCD) is the principal advisory body to the Government on drug policy. This site provides a range of free publications, including a link to Of Substance, a quarterly magazine dealing with the latest Australian news and research on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Printed copies are available free of charge to subscribers within Australia and the Asia/Pacific region
Health Matters is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's online gateway to health information. Covering the topics such as alcohol and cannabis the website includes original online material about these and other health issues and conditions, as well as news and transcripts from ABC Radio, ABC TV, and other areas of ABC Online
National Drugs Campaign is a website that contains information for young people, parents and families, the media, health professionals and the broader community. It provides information about the campaign, allows access to campaign materials, information on drugs and provides advice on getting help for drug-related, mental health or other problems. It also links to the National Drugs Campaign youth website which also has information on drugs and support services
Supporting smoking cessation: A guide for health professionals 2011. The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners have updated this guide, which incorporates a number of significant new developments in both the science and practice of cessation support providing health professionals with a valuable resource to help patients keen to stop smoking.
