Cannabis and consequences II - education package
A downloadable cannabis education package for secondary schools with 12 classroom activities. The package draws on the latest research and evidence in understanding cannabis use, particularly regarding mental health implications for young people. The activities have educative outcomes in mind and cover four key areas: prevalence; facts about cannabis; impacts, consequences and variables; and helping and resources. Optional assessment tasks are included and detailed instructions and resources for each activity ensure teachers from a range of disciplines are able to facilitate class participation.
MAKINGtheLINK – student program

MAKINGtheLINK – parent workshop
The MAKINGtheLINK Parent Workshop educates parents about the adolescent barriers to seeking help for cannabis-related problems and how to minimise them. It explains what kinds of help there is available in school and in the community, how to access it and how they can help as parents. It promotes parents as important helpers, and teaches them how to assist and motivate young people to seek professional help. The multimedia vodcasts model to parents how they can talk to teenagers about difficult issues, such as substance use, and are available on the NCPIC YouTube channel.
MAKINGtheLINK – Indigenous program
This package is an educational resource incorporating a series of activities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school-aged students, to encourage them to seek help for problems related to drug use and mental health.
Clearing the smoke – DVD
