In these moments, “fat can feel stabilizing,” according to Amy Gorin, a registered dietitian nutritionist, who spoke to Everyday Health. When a food like ice cream feels heavy in your stomach, it can make you feel grounded and sometimes better overall, which is why we end up craving it repeatedly during difficult days. Nevertheless, these are not the only reasons you might be craving ice cream.
